I have written a letter to the Mayor and Councillors expressing that a majority of Councillors are prepared to debate the issue of a casino on Tuesday May 21, 2013 the date originally set by the mayor.

On Sunday, I will be submitting to the City Clerk a letter signed by a majority of City Councillors to call a special council meeting to be held at 9:30am on Tuesday May 21, 2013. This is in accordance with Section 27-30 of the Council Procedures and the notice requirements that the meeting must be within 48 hours from the time the petition is given to the City Clerk.
