I have written a letter to the Mayor and Councillors expressing that a majority of Councillors are prepared to debate the issue of a casino on Tuesday May 21, 2013 the date originally set by the mayor.
On Sunday, I will be submitting to the City Clerk a letter signed by a majority of City Councillors to call a special council meeting to be held at 9:30am on Tuesday May 21, 2013. This is in accordance with Section 27-30 of the Council Procedures and the notice requirements that the meeting must be within 48 hours from the time the petition is given to the City Clerk.

I’m pleased to announce that this summer, Toronto cyclists will see a marked increase in bike parking spaces available along West Queen West. In response to Toronto’s growing need for cycling infrastructure, the City is increasing bike parking in Wards 18 and 19 by 30% along Queen Street West, from Gladstone Avenue to Markham Street.
